I finally slept a full 8 hours last night. What an exhausting weekend! It was a great experience to do the floral arrangements for Tyee and Steve's wedding. An immense amount of work that I kind of underestimated, but I got a ton of help from the maid of honor and close friends of ours. The couple was married at Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden in Golden Gate park. The ceremony site was absolutely beautiful and despite the gray skies, not that cold. After the short but sweet exchanging of vows, I had to haul ass to get from the outer avenues to the hotel (for more flowers) and then to Chinatown for the reception. On top of that, there was a street festival on Grant Street that blocked the main route to the restaurant. Thankfully I had friends to help carry the flowers and get the centerpieces ready in just under an hour.
Oy, is right. This is probably the last time that I'll be doing floral arrangements as a wedding gift. :)
