Ted Talks | Leaving Traditional Education
When 13 year-old Logan LaPlante grows up, he wants to be happy and healthy. He discusses how hacking his education is helping him achieve this goal. It's possible that he comes from a blessedly smart gene pool. But he's a good speaker and brave for handling public speaking with grace. Way better than I was even in my 20s. So kudos to that.

Design :: Tom Raffield
I found Tom Raffield on Fab while looking for something modern and organic to hang in the new dining room. Raffield creates handcrafted lighting and furniture with beautiful, sculptural forms using sustainably sourced wood and eco-friendly varnishes. As a designer and artist, Raffield draws creative inspiration from the surroundings of his native Exmoor, England. In 2008 he opened his own studio, using a personal adaptation of steam bending techniques to create the designs he always envisioned but were impossible with traditional techniques. Raffield earned a 2011 Lighting Design Award for his tangled Pendant No 1 (shown here).
