Two weekends ago I took a roadtrip to Vancouver with Ann and Stef. It was a short but awesome trip given the sunny weather and great company. The drive from Seattle to Vancouver took a bit longer than planned because we missed the truck route to the border crossing. Three girls, two iPhones, directions and we still somehow missed it. Um, yea. :)
Just before Vancouver, we made a pit stop into Richmond (the Hong Kong of Vancouver) for wonton noodles at Mak's Noodle House. Delish! Vancouver in the summer is LOVELY; surrounded by water, mountains and a bevy of glass skyscrapers. Despite last minute bookings, we were able to grab a room at the Pan Pacific Hotel, which has amazing views overlooking the city. In just two short days we explored Gastown, Yaletown, Stanley Park and ended the weekend on Granville Island. I tried a hot dog from Japadog but was so hungover that the weird combination of seaweed, meat and wasabi made me want to hurl. I'm looking forward to another trip back to try more tasty treats and do a bit of shopping. Maybe sometime in the fall when the days are shorter and the nights are longer. You know, for all that dancing that I love to do.
