via flavorpill.comBurlesque vixen Michelle L'amour likes reading in the nude and her husband certainly appreciates it as well. This is the simple concept behind L'amour's salon series Naked Girls Reading. The event lives up to its name. Female narrators wearing high heels, a smile, and absolutely nothing else recite high-brow literature — from Joseph Heller to F. Scott Fitzgerald. Tonight is the inaugural reading from the San Francisco chapter of the Naked Girls. The disrobed raconteurs tackle Joseph Moncure's the Wild Party (1928) — a Jazz Age tale of flappers, clowns, bathtub gin, and murder. - Joey Stevenson
Just in time for Bay to Breakers weekend, more nakedness! I have to wonder if this would be similar to watching a Suicide Girls burlesque show. Where instead of seeing one of the regular performers, the ones littered across the SG website or on their flyers, you end up with a newbie dancer who can barely shimmy out of her feathers and needs to go two sizes up in stockings. Flavorpill promotes Naked Girls Reading as not pretentious or even seedy, simply just beautiful women reading naked. Maybe that's all true but this sounds as intriguing to me as beautiful women eating naked. Or beautiful women typing on computer. Naked. Will I be captivated by their bravado reading or will I wonder about sagging breasts and whether the A/C is turned up too high? Me thinks the latter.
