Though Before the Dawn Heals Us is a few years old, I've been listening to it quite frequently since my stay at Miss G's place over Labor Day weekend. She had an awesome chill-out music set on her iPod that I fell in love with. M83 creates meandering and layered synth pieces that are great for doing work, reading in bed or well just staring at the ceiling. They have a tendency to drift into Boards of Canada territory or mimic the electronic, minor key sounds of Air. Some songs are super upbeat and integrate indie electronic sounds that break through the lulls of the album:
